2002-01-10 Billboard Update
Invincible falls two places on Billboard's Hot 200 album chart this week to #28. Butterflies bullets to #16 on the Hot 100 singles chart and holds steady at #3 on the R&B/Hop singles chart (with a bullet).
All but one of the top 40 best selling albums in the US right now saw decreases in sales, thanks to the usual post holiday sales slump. Appearances at the AMA's, the re-run on the MSG Garden concert and the continuing success of Butterflies at radio could push Invincible back into the Top 20 next week.
ATTENTION NEW YORKERS: Top 40 station Z100 in New York is the only station showing a reluctance of putting Butterflies into heavy rotation. Their request line is 800-242-0100. Otherwise, the song is one of the most played songs in the Big Apple.
